In this part of the sampler, the square boss stitches are combined in this order with other TAST stitches-Rice stitch, double cross stitch, square herringbone and Algerian eye stitch.

Detached chain stitches are worked below square boss stitches in the first sample. The stitch worked over lace along with pistil stitches and beads in the second row, the square boss stitches [at least try to] keep the beads in place over the crosses in the last row.

A lovely stitch to work with on my sampler.

The working of this stitch is on SharonB’s blog. This stitch is similar to last week’s stitch. I started on this stitch sampler today.

The samples were started with square boss stitch on big crosses, after alternating with same and contrast colours, big and small crosses are alternated in the last row.

First row is a pattern sample, second row, the stitches are worked on upright crosses ,third row is a combination of stitches worked on normal and upright crosses, fourth row a leg of the upright crosses are longer, the fifth row, two legs of the crosses are extended and in  the last row, the stitches are worked in different colours on the same cross. The last row should have had space in between to show the sequence, and it would have been easier for me  too.
