Blue printed crepe tunic

I could complete one project during this week. Chain stitch was worked around the outline with blue silk thread on this neckline embroidery. With this the piece is ready to go to the tailor.

Cluster of three small pearl beads are being added to the feather stitches this week on this blue tussar tunic. This is still in progress.

The work continues on the other side of this plum cotton tunic.

It is hard set these aside and start working on challenges. May be possible next week. Happy with one finish.

While working on the progress on my tunic fabrics, my friend gave a project of working on a blue tussar silk tunic. Small feather stitches are worked on the marked spots on the tunic front with metallic thread

Double cross stitches are worked with half white thread on this neck line between the square motifs.

Two more rows are worked with the same colour thread on this plum cotton tunic.

While I was working on these projects, SSS challenge started after a break. After finishing these, it is time to work on that

This week went with working on tunics. Yesterday, White counted thread embroidery was completed on this aqua green fabric. Once it goes to the tailor, He has to sew this onto the white printed mull tunic.

I am starting with variegated silk thread on this neckline embroidery on synthetic gold fabric.

I started working on the plum colour cotton tunic. Again it is chain stitch embroidery, I should design projects such a way that- I keep hopping between different embroidery stitches. It would keep the work interesting.

This  fabric is the same one remaining from this tunic sewn earlier.

plum and yellow tunic
May be this is right time to switch over to the challenge stitches!

I am still working on the tunics during the past few days. Somehow time seems to run away when we are busy.
The next thread being worked on this neckline for printed blue crepe tunic is gold silk thread, this thread can be used on machine too. The outlines for the triangles are worked with chain stitch.
WIPW225-bpcretfse-8
The work on aqua blue fabric with white thread continues this week too. After the couching! Stitch, it is back to straight stitches, they are  not technically double running stitch, because the back side does not need to be the same, wherever required short cuts are taken.
WIPW225-wgtct-7
A neck and a design around the neck was drawn for the plum colour fabric this week. This will be a short top. The fabric was left over from a tunic made in 2013.

This past week was not very productive. It was hard to find time to sit and stitch continuously. The navy blue cotton tunic was completed and is with the tailor now.
In this Aqua green fabric, the main thread is white. After working the upright cross stitches over the aqua green black work motif, short straight stitches were worked along the border.
WIPW224-wgtct-5
These straight stitches are used to work thick white thread through them. It is a combination of Pekinese stitch and Kashmiri couching stitch. Pekinese stitch is worked over back stitch without a stitch to secure the curve, in Kashmiri stitch the thicker thread is couched, in this way, with the thinner thread. I am yet to practice on that couching technique. Hence this short cut method.
WIPW224-wgtct-6
After working the fly stitch variations around the square, short chain stitches are worked with the same thread along the border.
WIPW224-bpcretfse-7
I can’t take a break from chain stitch I suppose.

These past few weeks it was hard to get to the computer to post on blog. The progress is also not much when compared to the time lapse.
I am in the last phase on this navy blue tunic. A few more fillings, it should be completed. It does get monotonous to work the chain stitches over and over again.
WIPW223-ncotka-9
White thread is to be used predominantly on this aqua green fabric, after working with green and medium aqua green, white thread was started. Lots more to stitch on this tunic.
WIPW223-wgtct-4
The next colour on the golden synthetic fabric is turquoise blue thread. Fly stitch variations are being worked on this pattern.
WIPW23-bpcretfse-6
It is really a challenge to catch up with the stitch challenges, hope the following weeks are better.

This week went with the works on tunics.
I am still in the mode of changing the colours of the kutchwork black yoke. The blue colour was changed to yellow. This project was restarted with changing the blue colour, somehow green preceded it. I have started with changing the blue on the other side today.
WIPW220-blaykk-4
After filling with blue thread on this gold neckline, I started working isolated fly stitch variation with green novelty thread.
WIPW220-bpcretfse-5
Some more stems were worked with chain stitch on this navy tunic.
WIPW220-ncotka-6
Now that I am getting more friendly with my computer, I would like to post the details of the finished projects of this year.
