I am late again in posting the the progress of this week.
For some reason Beyond TAST challenge is not progressing well. The ideas come and go, it is hard to bring them into stitching. I thought this filing stitches would be easy. Hoping for more progress this week.
I completed sham hem stitch sampler on SSS challenge. Yet to start on this week’s stitch.
The work on aqua green cotton tunic is going well. After the stems, it is time to work the leaves, I didn’t have  to search for the right stitch, it is fish bone stitch from SSS challenge.

The leaves are completed. The work on flowers will start tomorrow.

Projects
My tailor is coming back next week. I was working parsi embroidery on satin fabric for a blue crepe tunic.
Parsi, Resham, Persian or chinese embroidery- are the different names by which this embroidery is called, which is a  padded satin stitch filling. The embroidery is on sleeve borders and tunic front. I was not sure whether this work can ever be completed and was working on it on and off these past few months. Some times even after working five hours a week the progress was very slow. It was demotivating. This was reason this project was not shared on this category. Now I am nearing the end of the project. The progress till today.

Basque stitch
Buttonhole stitch outline.
Buttonhole stitches with long tailed detached chains, french knots.
And two rows of beaded barb stitch makes the second flower.

The last one with space between buttonhole rows, to work more than one bead on whipping stitch. I took the thread behind the fabric to work the subsequent beads.

The drawing was done while working the stitches, so there is no pattern as such for this sampler. it was interesting working like that. The colour inspiration was from a textile print on a calendar.

This is another embroidered bag to be used for storing personal things. The pattern-

The embroidery is started in green cotton skein. The stitches are- stem, buttonhole, and back.

These bags are ideal for these small exercises in embroidery stitches. Working on small projects are motivating too.

With sumptuous surfaces class project work, this week’s TAST stitch experiments, some work on tunic- this was a busy week. I did a small seam and spray on this hussif.

My tailor is back from is vacation, I had given a light green mangalagiri striped cotton fabric for marking the front of the tunic. After tracing the pattern, started herringbone filling in silk thread, stem stitch in perle thread. This pattern has provision for mirrors.
