I am catching up on the posts of Sunday Stitch School samplers. The working of this stitch is on Queenie’s blog.
I started the sampler by working the stitches between 2 parallel lines. The next ones are shorter versions of the stitch.

After working the stitches on leaf and heart shapes, the fishbone stitches are outlined with stem stitch.
SSS.67.fishbst-2
French knots are worked around closed fishbone stitches in the first sample, fly stitches are used to work the second sample instead of straight stitches, the last sample is outlined with buttonhole stitches.

The whole sampler.

I am late again in posting the the progress of this week.
For some reason Beyond TAST challenge is not progressing well. The ideas come and go, it is hard to bring them into stitching. I thought this filing stitches would be easy. Hoping for more progress this week.
I completed sham hem stitch sampler on SSS challenge. Yet to start on this week’s stitch.
The work on aqua green cotton tunic is going well. After the stems, it is time to work the leaves, I didn’t have  to search for the right stitch, it is fish bone stitch from SSS challenge.
