I found some cross stitch alphabets through pins on Pinterest. After working floral embroidery on the bags, which can be used by anyone, I wanted to personalize these three bags. My grand nephew [ important family member], DH and myself were treated this way.

When I chose and worked the crosses on Aida cloth, it matched the linen fabric, it was another story when they were sewn on to it. I was too busy to think of putting something around it.

The embroidery is started in green cotton skein. The stitches are- stem, buttonhole, and back.

Satin and pistil stitches are worked with polyester thread.

Some lattice work is tried inside the flowers in dark pink tied down with yellow cotton skeins.

These bags are ideal for these small exercises in embroidery stitches. Working on small projects are motivating too.

After filling the centre of the flowers with french knots in polyester thread, the embroidery on this bag was completed.

Started with stem stitching the leaves and working straight stitches in two strands of cotton skein.

Four strands of thread are used for the thicker stem stitches on the stems.

I started working this week’s stitch on TAST challenge beaded feathered chain.

This bag is the third one I made. The embroidery was very simple. The pattern to work the feather stitch lines.
