SSS challenge
40th week Du Vos stitch was used for simple outlining on a tunic. Some samples of thorn stitch was worked as band on matti cloth. I am not spending as much time on exploring these challenge stitches as I should. It is so easy to lose time on the vast ideas on the net and day dreaming about them. It would definitely help to get out of the habit of downloading ideas.
Projects
Green yellow ikat tunic
The work on mirror mandalas for this green yellow ikat tunic was completed.
Blue grey ikat tunic
After drawing and tracing the design for neck and sleeves on the blue fabric, embroidery was started yesterday with herring bone filling in pink thread.
The ikat weave on mercerized cotton is a good choice for attire.

It is terrifyingly easy to lose a couple of hours online, isn’t it. Never mind, we will learn to cope with it soon!

Yes. I hope it happens sooner and not later.

How true that we lose time to being inspired on the Web and not much of our own stitching is done. Your work is lovely.

Thank you.
All the inspirations are not for things I want to do, but things I have never seen before. The urge to learn new things is being nurtured here.

It is easy to spend time browsing the web, but I still think it is not wasted time. We always find inspiration and information that we can use later.
Don’t feel obliged to do the SSS stitches. I write about them for my own pleasure and study. Of course I am happy if others want to try the stitches, too, but please just try out the ones you like.
The mirror mandalas are GREAT! LOVELY colours!

I want to do the SSS challenge especially when they all are lovely and easy. Browsing the web is definitely widening my knowledge. How much of it is necessary is the question! still interesting pastime.
The colours for the mandala from the ikat fabric itself. Thank you.

I find there are days I don’t feel inspired to actually stitch, but love looking at others’ works. I think we need these web browsing sessions to recharge our creative batteries! In time you will go back to stitching.
