This post is on the progress of the projects during this week. To see others progress visit Pintangle.
I have posted 1000 posts on my blog in 5 five years. It all started with needing platform to post the TAST stitches and sharing my embroidery experiences. the motivation- SharonB. I have been regularly posting since 2011.
I am lagging behind on TAST challenge, still working on beaded knotted buttonhole band sampler.
These two edges were completed on Randje per week challenge.
I have stitched the petals with mirrors on my tunic. Counted the total mirrors this yoke requires, came up with 75. The front is going to be quite heavy. LOL! What was I thinking? Is there any embroidery which will reduce the fabric weight? And mine too? The border would also have some gold beads before going to the tailor, which I am hoping will happen this week.

It’s so fun to see the randjes on your blog too, love the variegated thread in the little people. Your tunic is gorgeous. Aren’t you worried about washing it with all those mirrors?

Thank you Annet. the little people look interesting in that blue variegated thread. About washing the mirrorworked fabric, I have been doing the washing for three decades. no worry there. when the dress becomes old it is hard to cut away those mirrors, to reuse them. LOL! so these days it is either given away before it gets old or I cut out the embroidered piece to be reused later.

Congratulations on your 1000th post! I enjoy seeing all the variations you come up with for the TAST stitches. Your tunic is very impressive.

Congratulations on your 1000th post! Your stitching is lovely! I love the second row on the picture of your sampler above. Your tunic is great, too! (I tried attaching a mirror this way once and failed miserably. I may need to try again!)

Thank you, Renee.
Your mentioning the failure takes me back to the days, where attaching the mirrors was so difficult, the mirrors tend to slip before they could be secured, the threads will slip out of the needle always at the wrong time, I would get tired after each mirror. LOL!
there are two other methods of stitching mirrors, I am used to this method
