This is a lovely stitch introduced by SharonB on this TAST 2014 challenge. I have started working on this sampler.

1.First row is the basic looped cretan stitch, the second row is a long and narrow version of the stitch and the third row is the wide version of the stitch

2.Small stitches are worked through the fabric in the first row. The stitches are worked closely in the second row, I like this. The loops are worked at right angles to the cretan stitches in the third row.

We are home after my husband’s Vitrectomy on 30thmarch. We survived some anxious moments regarding the risks involved last week. The day before the surgery, the physicians decided on local anesthesia instead of general because of his recent neuro surgery. Hubby endured intolerable pain during the procedure. He got back his vision on his left eye, Thank God! He needs to be very careful for some time, to avoid infections.
