Another member [Elaine Wilding] of the 100 details in 200 days group on stitchin fingers community had worked this seam with perle cotton #5. I liked the seam and wanted to try it before I send it to my to do list.

The stitches – herringbone variation, straight stitches are worked in cotton skeins and french knots in doubled perle cotton#8 [#8]

The original seam is on sharonB’s blog. This seam and the previous seam were counted as 1 seam and detailed under the 2nd day.
This is a simple seam – A ricrac is tied down with detached chain stitches.

Ricrac was tacked down with a single strand of pink thread. Three detached chain stitches are worked on the peaks on both sides. I have to learn to hold the ricrac and work the stitches.
