3.Raised cross stitches were combined with chained crosses in the first sample. Oyster stitches are combined with this stitch in the second sample.

4. The three stitches combined with chained crosses in these samples are- woven cross stitch, slipped detached chain and square herringbone

The method of working this week’s chained cross stitch is on SharonB’s blog. Though I had already posted the earlier worked sampler, the chained crosses are combined with other TAST stitches in this new sampler.

1.The first sample is a combination of chained cross stitches  with sheaf stitch. Running stitch rows on top with wheat ear stitches in between is the second sample.

2.The first sample has-Closed buttonhole and french knots with chained cross . zigzag chain worked over chained cross stitch variation is the second sample.

6.Fancy hem stitch rows are combined with french knots and herringbone in the first sample, and with chain stitch and Italian border stitch in the second sample.

7. The first sample has stem stitch and detached chains , the last sample has buttonhole and wheat ear[also arrow head] stitches.

I like this stitch in combination with other stitches. An easy stitch to work and makes a nice border.
