This week’s stitch on TAST 2013 challenge by SharonB is bullion buttonhole. I had worked this stitch as a part of previous TAST challenge, when bullion stitches were scaring me. After working on those samples, I was a little better. Even now I am not totally comfortable with these type of stitches and they are also time consuming.

The details-
1.The first row is the basic bullion buttonhole. In the second row, two stitches together are worked at an angle.in the third row, the stitches are worked on both sides. These experiments I did not try on my previous sampler.

2.Closed version of bullion buttonhole stitches are worked in the first sample, two rows of bullion buttonhole stitches are worked facing each other in the second sample,  a scalloped line is worked with this stitch in the third sample.

3.In these samples bullion buttonhole stitches are combined with other stitches.

First one is with bonnet stitch, the second one is with up and down buttonhole stitch.

4.Quarter buttonhole wheels are worked with bullions in the first sample, top knotted buttonhole and knotted buttonhole stitches are combined with bullions in the second and third samples respectively.
