After setting the proper method to work this stitch, I worked some more samples on this stitch sampler.

3. I tried widening the stitch by working the alternate bars with a break in between in the first row. The second row is laced with rimjim thread. The third row is whipped with pink thread on both sides.

4a. I started some combination with other TAST stitches. I wanted to work whipped chain stitch. Sheaf stitch and whipped bars with Portuguese border stitch. The rows without Portuguese border stitch-

These threads are available in India on needlecraft shops. They have a shining quality which makes them ideal for embellishments and embroidery. They come in many colour combinations.
I am not sure about their quality, They untwist very fast, which makes it difficult to work on certain types of embroidery.
I was fascinated by their variety, and started stocking them.. The piece on which they are twirled around looks like a cone and hence the name.
