I drew two similar[not copied] neck pieces to be sewn on the white georgette tunic fabric. I have pictures only of the finished work.
The details of the neck piece- I did free style bead work on both pieces , even the pearls were couched in free style-
Another detail-
I wanted the pieces to look similar, so I tried to maintain this symmetry, while stitching the free style beadwork.
The idea was fill up the empty places with different beads-
The neck pieces sewn on the tunic looks like this-
A readymade sequined border was used for the sleeves-
I don’t think this free style beadwork would have looked impressive with any other colour other than white.I played safe by choosing white georgette, on a different note, the lining of the tunic was satin.
This design idea came from browsing the various blogs. I thank each and every one of them for sharing their work.

Hi Chitra:
Wanted to ask you this … How do you get started with this free style work? Do you just take the thread and needle and work as ideas come to your mind ? I am curious to know this as free style can result in disharmonious look if not done well.

thanks. In this piece, I had the boundries made with couched pearls. with two pieces on both shoulders, symmetry is very important. But it is really hard to work the same thing twice with free style beading. so I filled the gaps between the pearl lines with beads and stones. refering to the other piece always.
