Since myprogress on the TAST 2010 is  quite slow, I thought I’ll share one of my tunic yoke . I had a bright yellow patiala salwar, which shouted for a tunic top.During my last trip to Chennai,I picked up this dark maroon  tunic from Shilpi. I did not have to think about colours  , just added a green to complete the SouthIndian favourite combination[We have so many kanjeevaram silk sarees in this popular combination].I mix and matched  some small kutchwork motifs .The tunic was cut crosswise, this affected the symmetry of the pattern a little ofcourse, which I can adjust by alternatively lifting my shoulders LOL!  so it is less noticable.

maroon and yellow

Of these kutchwork motifs I liked the paisley the best, which is my own pattern.
